If you're thinking dead in terms as zero people play then no, as far as enough players to not make mm a hassle then yes. Still think its accurate to say that as far as online pvp goes with randoms as far as the whole ranked thing goes its fairly dead and stale. Even if the case is half those numbers, it would still take quite a long time to get into a match (which it does). those numbers don't account for people just playing private games or solo which is a big portion of the current player base. What could save them would be a cross-play system, but the devs have stated multiple times how that's not going to happen. It took me more than one year to get to level 10 (and unlock the last thing I was missing from the game) and the only real progress was when I started playing with friends who also owned the game on that particular console (in my case, a Nintendo Switch). The biggest issue of multiplayer comes from the console versions of the game. The game has had 400-600 players online at the same time, on average, from the very beginning. Lately i've been bouncing between this game and root since i've been on a digital board game binge lately lol. Or if you have buddies who have the game to play with it makes for a great party game for a few hours on the weekend. Granted the AI become a tad predictable but its still fun to play solo. With all that said the single player in my opinion is still a lot of fun. ![]() Though at this point i wouldnt be able to see them putting out any more major dlc, but you never know. Devs still periodically put out small updates. Whats left of multilayer in my experience takes a long time to find a game and the players are just either cheaters or sit there afk. Which is strange because i feel like a game as great as armello is board game lovers and turn based lovers would flock to it. But its been like that since i started playing in 2019, not sure about prior to that.
